Skills/knowledge required for the position Good scripting skills in Bash and Python Database administration, configuration and basic querying skills Real life skills of following the infrastructure as code principles 3+ years of leadership experience with a production system on any cloud platform Familiarity with Docker & Kubernetes Interest in big data, scalability, high throughput systems, high availability Queue system (RabbitMQ, AWS SQS) Monitoring (NewRelic, ELK, Prometheus) CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Scrutinizer) Knowledge with Ansible, Terraform Network configuration, DNS, VPN Soft skills requirements Quick learner Passionate, curious, and inquisitive about technology Can-do attitude Good organizational skills Results-oriented and high motivated Willingness to share knowledge, teach and learn
Tasks
Main job responsibilities Analyze the technology currently being used and develops plans and processes for improvement and expansion Approve code, implement processes, and improve deployment to streamline and speed up daily work Manage development of automation tools, infrastructure as code and other infrastructure related necessities Recommend performance enhancements by performing gap analysis, identifying alternative solutions, and assisting with modifications Participate in project planning meetings to share the knowledge of system options, risk, impact, and costs vs. benefits Write specifications and documentation
