Requirements
Skills/knowledge required for the position First class SQL skills and at least 2 years of experience in a relevant role (be comfortable with window functions, CTEs, nested columns, arrays, pivot/unpivot etc.) 2+ years of experience with cloud-based DWH such as BigQuery, Snowflake or Redshift Experience with data transformation tools such as dbt or dataform Experience with BI tools such as Looker, PowerBI, Tableau, QlikView, Sisense, Chartio etc. Good understanding of data modeling (Kimball, Star Schema, Normalization/Denormalization, Nesting, Views vs Tables, Cost Optimization etc.) Knowledge of version control systems such as GitHub or Bitbucket Strong command of written and spoken English Skills/knowledge preferred for the position Working experience in online gaming Experience with Agile methodologies Experience with BigQuery Knowledge of LookML and Looker in general Experience with cloud data storage tools (Amazon S3, Google Storage etc.) Soft skills requirements Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Good organization and planning skills Be comfortable in dealing with people through video calls and Slack Able to work on own initiative and be self motivated
Tasks
Main job responsibilities Together with the Head of BI, define the data strategy (data stack, data modeling, projects etc.) Build and maintain dbt/dataform queries and jobs Build and maintain health checks to ensure data reliability and accuracy Create Looker Views and Explores using LookML Monitor and optimize BigQuery costs Be involved in other tasks of the BI department (creation of Looker dashboards, perform data analyses, use machine learning techniques to solve business problems etc.)
